No Reward
05:45
|
|
||
Held down by the hand,
The hand on our heads.
See ourselves in their boots.
The hand on our heads.
Spitting gravel from our mouths.
Spitting gravel, making sand.
To be allowed to be civilized.
No reward, no Benefit.
No reward for a reprobate.
No reward for a coward.
No reward.

Leaking Copper
02:19
|
|
||
Did we die,
with our eyes open?
Do they think we can’t look away?
Lying in a pile of rotting fur, or
Running with copper in our bones?
Or pulled down a heron’s winding pipe,
Picked up by twin daggers more narrow than our body?
All of them have taken a piece,
What took us, we’ll never see.

A Clean Corpse
03:30
|
|
||
Growing edges unfold,
Seeking new scenery.
Leaving behind burning dreams.
Sinking,
Held by five arms.
Pushing their stomach through their mouth.
Sparking Light,
Focused until we fall.
Sinking,
Wrapped up in mare’s tail.
Fire to steam,
Sinking in the shale
A clean body,
Washed and ripe for god’s eyes.
